The Walking Dead Season 9

Overview

Years after the war with Negan, the communities are prospering, and a new generation is being born — and then Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) leaves the show. Injured and blown up on a bridge, sacrificing himself to save the communities, Rick is presumed dead. The season also introduces the Whisperers, people who wear the skin of the dead to blend in with walkers, led by Alpha (Samantha Morton). It ends with a shocking beheading: Alpha kills several characters, including Henry, Enid, and Tara — and the war with the Whisperers begins. The Whisperers are the season's nightmare made flesh: the dead, worn as disguise, by the living.
