Spider-Man: No Way Home
Overview
Everyone on Earth knows Peter Parker is Spider-Man, and Peter's life is over by lunchtime. After Mysterio exposed his identity, Peter (Tom Holland) is falsely accused of murder, and the fallout lands on everyone he loves — MJ, Ned and Aunt May are all dragged through the media storm with him. So Peter does something desperate: he asks Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to cast a spell making the world forget. One problem — Peter keeps adding exceptions mid-spell, and the whole thing tears open the multiverse. Villains from other realities pour into New York: Doc Ock (Alfred Molina), Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Electro (Jamie Foxx), Sandman (Thomas Haden Church) and Lizard (Rhys Ifans), each from a different Spider-Man's world. The obvious move is to send them home to die; Peter, being Peter, insists on trying to cure them instead. That choice costs him everything when the Goblin kills Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), and in his darkest moment help arrives from the two people who understand him best — the other Peter Parkers, played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, sharing their own losses like veterans of the same war. It's a nostalgia event, sure, but one with a real, bruised heart underneath.
