Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania
Overview
Life is finally good for Scott Lang — and then the whole family gets sucked into the Quantum Realm. Down there, in a mysterious subatomic universe beneath everything, sits the problem this saga has been dreading: Kang the Conqueror, a powerful multiversal villain played by Jonathan Majors with the quiet menace of a man who treats timelines like toys. Scott (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) have to fight their way home through a world that lets the film go visually wild — this is the most out-there the MCU has ever looked, and Kang is magnetic, the rare villain who feels genuinely bigger than the movie around him. Which is lucky, because the movie around him creaks in places: the plot is thinner than you'd hope for such an epic setup, and the sheer volume of CGI can leave scenes feeling weightless. But as an introduction to the MCU's new big bad, it does its job — you walk out thinking about Kang, not the quantum wallpaper. Go in for Majors and the spectacle, and for Rudd, who remains the franchise's most likeable everyman, surviving as always by being gloriously underestimated.
