Overview
Having a mayoral campaign in the Braverman family turns out exactly as chaotic as you'd expect. Fresh off beating cancer, Kristina decides to run for mayor of Berkeley, and Adam — who really just wanted one quiet year — gets roped in as her reluctant campaign manager while also trying to keep the Luncheonette studio afloat with Crosby. The season's heaviest storyline belongs to Julia and Joel, whose marriage quietly falls apart: a friendship with a dad at the kids' school crosses a line, the trust evaporates, and for the first time the show's most solid couple is living in separate houses. Elsewhere, Crosby and Jasmine adjust to life with baby Aida and a house full of noise, Sarah finally gives things a real shot with Hank, the photographer who understands Max in a way that sneaks up on everyone, and Amber's world tilts sideways when Ryan re-enlists and an accident overseas changes all their plans. Zeek and Camille start asking whether the big family house is still a blessing or just a weight. It's Parenthood doing what it does best — nobody's plot is huge, but all of it feels real, and you'll probably cry at least twice.
