Parenthood Season 3
Overview
Season three is where Parenthood's heart gets biggest. Julia and Joel, told they can't have another baby, begin the long, hopeful, gut-punching road to adoption — falling for Zoe, the young woman from the coffee cart at Adam's office who's pregnant and considering them as parents, and then learning that wanting a child and being chosen for one are two very different agonies. Elsewhere, Adam and Crosby go into business together, opening a recording studio in an old building they christen The Luncheonette; brotherly love survives about five minutes of shared finances. Kristina gives birth to baby Nora and nearly comes apart keeping everything afloat, Max starts a new school, and Haddie heads off to college, leaving a house that suddenly feels quieter. Sarah and Mark, Jason Ritter's sweet, younger teacher, get serious enough to scare her — thirty-eight with two grown kids, starting over is terrifying. There's a family wedding on the horizon, Zeek is dispensing advice nobody asked for, and through it all the Bravermans keep showing up for each other with casseroles and chaos. Few shows have ever made ordinary family life feel this big. Season three is the proof.
