Overview
Season two settles into the rhythm that made the Bravermans feel like your own relatives — loud, loving, and constantly in each other's business. Adam and Kristina are deep in the daily reality of raising Max, whose Asperger's shapes everything from school choices to family dinners, while teenage Haddie falls for an older guy with a complicated past, much to her parents' horror. Sarah, still the family's lovable screw-up, starts clawing her way toward an actual career, though old habits and bad timing keep tripping her up. Crosby and Jasmine get engaged, and then Crosby does what Crosby does and jeopardises it right before the wedding. Julia and Joel quietly struggle with wanting another baby, Zeek tries to be a better husband after his mistakes, and Amber learns the hard way that college plans don't always survive contact with real life. Jason Katims runs the show with the same gentle touch he brought to Friday Night Lights, and the cast — Peter Krause, Lauren Graham, Monica Potter, Dax Shepard, Craig T. Nelson — make even a storyline about a school meeting feel like it matters. It does, somehow.
