Overview
1923 is a 2022 Western drama television series created by Taylor Sheridan for Paramount+, serving as a prequel to Yellowstone. The series is set in 1923, following the Dutton family as they face the challenges of the Great Depression and Prohibition. The series stars Harrison Ford as Jacob Dutton, the family patriarch; Helen Mirren as Cara Dutton, his wife; and Brandon Sklenar as Spencer Dutton, their nephew. The first season followed the Duttons as they faced a drought, a cattle blight, and a violent conflict with a rival sheep herder. The first season ended with Spencer returning home to help his family. The second season is in production and is expected to continue the story.
