Friends Season 5
Overview
It starts with the fallout from that wedding — Ross saying the wrong name at the altar is still the funniest disaster in the show's history, and Season 5 milks it for everything it's worth as his marriage to Emily falls apart almost immediately. But the real story here is Monica and Chandler. What was supposed to be a one-night thing in London turns into a secret relationship, and the season gets some of its best episodes out of the gang finding out one by one — Joey's reaction alone is worth the price of admission. Phoebe gives birth to the triplets in the show's 100th episode, which balances the comedy with a genuinely sweet goodbye. And Ross, freshly divorced and slowly losing it (the leather pants, the sandwich meltdown), delivers peak unhinged Ross. Everything builds to a Vegas finale that ends on one of the great sitcom cliffhangers. Honestly, a lot of fans will tell you this is the show's strongest season — the writing is fast, the cast is fully locked in, and the secret-couple arc gives every episode a little extra spark.
