Overview

Slough House is where MI5 sends its failures — the 'slow horses,' agents who made mistakes and got parked. Based on Mick Herron's novels, the season follows the team under Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman), brilliant, cynical, and disgusting, as they investigate a kidnapping and uncover a conspiracy involving a far-right group. The team completes their mission — and is still treated as failures, because Slough House doesn't do redemption. It does survival, and barely that. Slough House is a punishment disguised as a posting, and the season's joke is that its rejects keep doing the real work — competently, cynically, and without thanks.
