The Crown Season 3

Overview

A new Queen — Olivia Colman takes over as Elizabeth, older and harder now — and a new decade: 1964 to 1977. The season covers Harold Wilson's (Jason Watkins) rise as Prime Minister, the Aberfan mining disaster, the moon landing, and the investiture of Prince Charles (Josh O'Connor) as Prince of Wales. Powerful, emotional, and compelling, with Colman's nuanced performance at its center, it shows a monarch who has learned to survive by becoming harder to read — and the cost of that survival. Colman's Elizabeth is harder to read and harder to reach — a monarch who has learned that survival means keeping even her own counsel.
