Overview
The Crown Season 2 continues the story of Queen Elizabeth II (Claire Foy). The season covers the years 1956 to 1964. It explores the Suez Crisis, the resignation of Prime Minister Anthony Eden (Jeremy Northam), and the Profumo affair, a political scandal involving a government minister and a Russian spy. The second season also focuses on the deteriorating marriage between Elizabeth and Philip. The season ends with the birth of Prince Andrew and the beginning of the 1960s.
