Overview

Homeland Season 1 is the first season of Showtime's political thriller, based on the Israeli series Prisoners of War. The first season follows Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes), a brilliant, bipolar CIA officer who believes that a US Marine, Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis), who was held captive by Al-Qaeda for eight years, has been turned by the enemy. She monitors him obsessively. The first season is a tense, suspenseful, and psychological thriller. The season ends with Brody deciding not to detonate a suicide vest, and Carrie being electroshocked.
