Homeland Season 1

Overview

Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) is a brilliant, bipolar CIA officer with a suspicion she can't let go: Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis), a US Marine held captive by Al-Qaeda for eight years, has been turned by the enemy. Based on the Israeli series Prisoners of War, the season follows Carrie as she monitors Brody obsessively, chasing a truth nobody else wants to see. Tense, suspenseful, and psychological, it builds to a single moment: Brody deciding not to detonate a suicide vest — and Carrie, broken by the chase, being electroshocked. The season's power is that both of them might be right, and both of them might be wrong.
