Overview
Kendall Roy ended season two by turning on his father live on television, and season three is the war that follows — except Kendall, being Kendall, is his own worst enemy. He hires lawyers, fires lawyers, performs for the cameras, and slowly realises that declaring war on Logan Roy is much easier than actually winning one. Meanwhile the Roys circle a federal investigation into the cruises scandal, Tom sweats over whether he'll be the one sent to prison, and Shiv tries to claim a position in the company her father will never really give her. Into this mess walks Lukas Matsson, Alexander Skarsgård's unnervingly calm tech billionaire, whose streaming company Waystar suddenly wants to merge with — or swallow whole. Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook and Kieran Culkin are all operating at full power, and the writing somehow gets funnier as the people get worse. The season takes the family to Italy for a wedding dripping with passive aggression, and builds to a finale so tense you'll forget to breathe. It's television about terrible people that you can't stop watching, partly because, every so often, you catch a glimpse of the wounded kids underneath.
