Succession Season 2
Overview
The Roys are under siege — a hostile takeover attempt by a rival media mogul — and Kendall (Jeremy Strong) is a broken man, subservient to his father, forced to be the 'sacrificial lamb' for the company's crimes, including the cruise line sexual harassment scandal. Shiv (Sarah Snook) is brought into the company as a potential successor and handed a meaningless role. Roman (Kieran Culkin) is sent to Turkey to negotiate a deal and ends up captured and tortured by local rebels. The season's dialogue does half the work — vicious insults, corporate jargon, hilarious profanity — and lines like 'You are not serious people' and 'I am the eldest boy!' became iconic. It ends with Kendall betraying his father publicly at a press conference, revealing the company's crimes, and the whole family watching the floor drop out from under them.
