Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 3
Overview
Three captains in three episodes — that's how season three starts. Holt's been exiled to public relations, where he's suffering beautifully, folding pamphlets with dead-eyed precision, and the precinct cycles through replacements before the squad schemes its way to getting their captain back. Once everyone's home, the big news is Jake and Amy: officially a couple now, and navigating the strange waters of dating a coworker you also compete with constantly. Midway through, Jason Mantzoukas crashes in as Adrian Pimento, a detective who spent twelve years so deep undercover that he's basically feral, and somehow his unhinged energy makes the show even funnier. Charles becomes a dad when he and Genevieve adopt little Nikolaj, Rosa's love life takes a genuinely wild turn, Terry's yogurt supply is threatened (a real crisis, don't laugh), and Holt and Jake's mentorship deepens into something surprisingly sweet. It all builds toward a proper crime arc: a mobster named Jimmy "The Butcher" Figgis, a threat on Jake's life, and a finale that splits the two leads off into witness protection in Florida. The cliffhanger works because by now you'd follow these idiots anywhere — even, apparently, to a place called Coral Palms.
