Lucifer Season 3
Overview
Lucifer Season 3 is the longest season of the series, with 26 episodes, and it introduces one of the most significant characters in the show's history: Lieutenant Marcus Pierce (Tom Welling), the new precinct leader who is actually Cain, the first murderer from the Bible. Cain has been cursed with immortality for killing his brother Abel, and he believes that Lucifer, being the Devil, can help him die. The season follows the complicated dynamic between Lucifer and Cain, as they become reluctant allies and rivals, both for Chloe's affection and for the chance to break their respective curses. The season also deepens the will-they-won't-they relationship between Lucifer and Chloe, as she struggles with her feelings for him and her growing suspicion that he is not entirely human. The season introduces new characters, including Maze's mother (played by a guest star), and explores the backstories of the main cast. The season features several memorable episodes, including the noir-inspired "City of Angels?" which flashes back to Lucifer's first days in Los Angeles, and the musical episode where characters break into song. The season also introduces the character of Charlotte Richards (Tricia Helfer) in a new role, as the actual Charlotte (not Lucifer's mother), a lawyer who has returned from the dead and is trying to rebuild her life. The season ends with a shocking twist: Chloe sees Lucifer's devil face, revealing the truth to her at last. The third season finale, "A Devil of My Word," ends on a cliffhanger that sets up the move to Netflix. Lucifer Season 3 is a fan-favorite season, balancing humor, heart, and supernatural drama.
