Lucifer Season 6
Overview
The devil is about to become God, and he's stalling. That's where the final season starts: Lucifer (Tom Ellis) has the job he's been running from for six seasons, days left before he takes the throne, and he's inventing errands. Then a young woman named Rory drops out of the future claiming to be his daughter — and claiming he abandoned her. The mystery of why he'd leave becomes the season's spine, and it lets the show ask its favorite question one last time: do we choose who we are, or are we chosen for us? Around it, everyone gets an ending. Chloe (Lauren German) works out what forever would actually cost her, Amenadiel finds the calling he's been circling for years, Maze and Eve get their wedding, and Dan — poor Dan — gets the farewell that season five owed him. Not every fan loved every twist, and the Rory mechanics invite arguments, which is fair enough. But a show that got cancelled, resurrected by its fans, and cancelled again somehow lands its plane on warmth instead of snark. Ellis sings, flirts, and finally grows up. "Redemptive" is an overused word. Here, it fits.
