Overview

A sniper kills five people in Pittsburgh, and the accused killer asks for one man by name: Jack Reacher. Reacher (Tom Cruise) is a former military police officer, now a drifter, and Christopher McQuarrie's film — based on Lee Child's 2005 novel One Shot — follows him as he investigates and uncovers a conspiracy. It's a tense, gritty and realistic thriller built on Reacher's deductive skills and his brutal fighting style: a man with no address, no attachments and no patience for lies, walking into a case that everyone else has already decided is closed. The accused didn't ask for a lawyer. He asked for Reacher, and that alone tells Reacher something is wrong.
