House M.D. Season 7
Overview
After six seasons of almosts, House and Cuddy finally do it — they try being an actual couple — and season seven is the story of two brilliant, damaged people discovering that wanting a relationship and being capable of one are very different things. Lisa Edelstein gets her best material of the series as Cuddy stops being House's exasperated boss and becomes the person with the most to lose. The team gets a shake-up too: Amber Tamblyn joins as Martha Masters, a medical student with a genius IQ and a moral compass so rigid it clashes with House's methods every single week, while Thirteen returns carrying a secret about where she's been. The medicine's still sharp — a patient whose hands won't stop writing, a priest who'd rather die than be treated, a hoarder buried in his own home — but the season lives and dies on the central relationship, and when Cuddy faces a health crisis of her own, House's choices say everything about him. It all builds to a final scene so shocking it split the fanbase in half. Love it or hate it, you won't forget it.
