Homeland Season 6

Overview

Set in New York City between the presidential election and the inauguration, the season finds Carrie working for a foundation that helps Muslims in the US — and walking straight into a conspiracy around the president-elect. Tense, suspenseful, and timely, it plays the paranoia of a transition period against Carrie's own instability, and it ends in the worst way: the president-elect killed, and Quinn (Rupert Friend) dying to save Carrie. The season's tragedy is that the people trying to protect the country keep breaking the people closest to them. A transition of power is supposed to be orderly. This season is about what happens when it isn't — when the people meant to guard the process become the threat to it.
