About My Father
Overview
Meeting your girlfriend's parents is nerve-wracking. Bringing your own father along? Whole different kind of chaos. Sebastian, played by Sebastian Maniscalco, is about to propose to his girlfriend, but first he has to survive a weekend with her wealthy, polished family. Tagging along is his father Salvo, played by Robert De Niro, an old-school Italian immigrant with strong opinions, louder stories, and zero interest in pretending to be someone he's not. Culture clashes, family traditions, and embarrassing truths collide over one very long weekend. But underneath the jokes is a warm story about pride, belonging, and accepting the people who raised you. Funny, broad, and good-hearted. Dads, eh? Embarrassing. And lovable. Broad, loud, and warm-hearted — basically a family weekend, with all the embarrassment included.
