Ms Marvel Season 1

2022 • TV Series

Overview

Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) is a Pakistani-American teenager from New Jersey who is obsessed with the Avengers — and then she finds out she's not just a fan anymore. A mysterious bangle gives her the power to create cosmic energy constructs, and suddenly the girl who daydreamed about heroes has to become one. The season is a coming-of-age story first and a superhero story second, built around identity, family, and culture: what it means to be the kid from Jersey City with powers nobody in her family expected. By the end, Kamala stops wishing she were someone else and accepts her powers — and herself — as a hero.
