Schitt's Creek Season 5
Overview
By season five, the Roses aren't just surviving Schitt's Creek anymore — they're putting down roots, and honestly, it's lovely to watch. Johnny goes into business with Stevie and Roland to expand the motel operation, Moira jets off to shoot a gloriously terrible crow-horror sequel she treats like prestige cinema, and David and Patrick's relationship gets serious in ways that keep sneaking up on you emotionally. The real growth, though, belongs to Alexis, who starts thinking like an actual adult with an actual career, and Stevie, who steps out from behind the motel desk and onto a stage, stealing the local Cabaret production in the process. What makes this season sing is the balance: the jokes are as sharp as ever — Moira's wigs and vocabulary alone could carry an episode — but the warmth underneath keeps deepening. Created by Eugene and Dan Levy, who also star as Johnny and David, the show had fully found its rhythm by this point, and season five is where a lot of fans say it goes from "very funny" to "genuinely special." If earlier seasons were about a rich family losing everything, this one is about what they've quietly gained.
