Bullet Train
Overview
A pacifist assassin walks onto a train. That sounds like the setup to a joke, and honestly, sometimes it is. Ladybug (Brad Pitt) has one simple job: get on a Japanese bullet train, grab a briefcase, get off. He'd really rather be retired - he's unlucky, he's burned out, and he's actively trying not to kill anyone anymore. The problem is the train. It's full of other assassins, every one of them chasing their own agenda, and somehow all of their jobs keep colliding with his briefcase. What starts as a quiet errand turns into a rolling pile-up of double-crosses, misunderstandings and spectacularly timed violence, with each killer's story slotting into the others like puzzle pieces. The cast around Pitt is stacked - Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry and Sandra Bullock all get their moments - and the film never slows down long enough for you to question any of it. It's bloody, it's silly, and it knows exactly what it is: a stylish, hyperactive joyride in the same family as John Wick and Deadpool, except everyone's funnier and nobody's having a good day. If you like your action choreographed, colorful and just unhinged enough, climb aboard.
