Luther Season 5
Overview
Some detectives solve murders. John Luther carries them. In this final four-episode season, Idris Elba returns as the brilliant, rule-breaking London detective, drawn into the hunt for a killer who targets people who escaped justice. The case is twisted and personal, and it forces Luther to walk the same dark line he's always policed, where doing the right thing and breaking the law start to look uncomfortably alike. It's tense, it's grim, and it's emotionally charged, and the closing episodes pull every loose thread of his story tight. This last run gives Luther the ending his long, haunted journey deserves, and it rewards viewers who've followed him from the start, through every grim case and impossible choice. Dark, yes. But worth it. Very much worth it.
