Venom: The Last Dance
Overview
Eddie Brock and Venom have saved the world a couple of times now, and their reward is a road trip with everyone hunting them. The third and final outing for Tom Hardy's double act picks up after Let There Be Carnage with the pair on the run — the authorities want them, and something worse is coming: a group of alien symbiotes has arrived on Earth specifically to capture Venom. So the movie becomes what this odd little franchise was always best at: a road trip buddy comedy where the buddies share one body. Hardy plays both halves of the relationship, and the bickering is the whole show — Eddie, the frazzled human trying to keep a low profile, and Venom, the chaos in his head who has never once managed to keep quiet. They fight and argue their way across the country, and slowly have to face the fact that this partnership was never built to last forever. It's messier and sillier than it is epic, and honestly that's the charm. Underneath the goo and the carnage, this is a goodbye to one of the strangest double acts in superhero movies — a man and the alien voice in his head who, against all odds, genuinely became each other's person.
