Transformers Rise of the Beasts
Overview
New York City, 1994: two ordinary people get caught in a war between robots — and some of those robots turn into animals. Noah Diaz (Anthony Ramos), a former military electronics expert, and Elena Wallace (Dominique Fishback), an artifact researcher, become caught in a conflict between the Autobots, the Maximals, and the Terrorcons. The Maximals are animal-themed Transformers who have been hiding on Earth for centuries, including Optimus Primal (Ron Perlman), a gorilla-like Maximal, and Airazor (Michelle Yeoh), a falcon-like Maximal. The Terrorcons are villainous Transformers led by Scourge (Peter Dinklage), trying to find the Transwarp Key, a device that can open a portal to anywhere in the universe. It is a fun, action-packed adventure with impressive visual effects and a nostalgic 1990s soundtrack, including Battletrap, a brutal Terrorcon, among the new Transformers — a throwback thrill ride where the fate of the universe hinges on a key, and two humans in over their heads.
