Overview
Superheroes have been forced into hiding because of lawsuits and public pressure — but Bob Parr can't stop missing the old days. Bob (Craig T. Nelson), formerly Mr. Incredible, lives a mundane life as an insurance adjuster, married to Helen (Holly Hunter), formerly Elastigirl, with three children: Violet (Sarah Vowell), who can turn invisible and create force fields; Dash (Spencer Fox), who has super speed; and Jack-Jack, who has yet to develop his powers. In a retro-futuristic 1960s-inspired world, Bob is lured out of retirement by a mysterious woman, Mirage, offering a secret mission. He discovers the mission is a trap, set by a former fan named Syndrome (Jason Lee), a genius inventor and bitter villain. What follows is a thrilling, funny, stylish superhero adventure about family, identity, and the struggle to live a meaningful life — because saving the world is easier than getting through a family dinner, and this family has to learn to be incredible together.
