Luca
Overview
Some summers just change you, and Luca gets one of those. On the Italian coast in the 1950s, he's a young sea monster who finds out he can turn human on land, and suddenly the whole world opens up. With his new friend Alberto, he dives straight into gelato, dodgy bicycles, and small-town trouble, the way kids do when nobody's watching too closely. Jacob Tremblay voices Luca with this sweet, curious energy, and the friendship at the center feels instantly real, all mischief and loyalty and seeing things for the first time. It's gentle, it's sun-drenched, and it's about being different and finding the nerve to be yourself anyway. If you need something warm and a bit wistful, this is it. Perfect summer film, really.
