Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
Overview
Many years after Caesar's death, a young chimpanzee in a peaceful eagle-clan village has his world shattered by an ape who has twisted Caesar's teachings into tyranny. Noa (Owen Teague) is a naive young chimp whose village is attacked by apes led by Proximus Caesar (Kevin Durand), a brutal, power-hungry bonobo who has twisted Caesar's teachings to justify his own rule. Noa is captured and enslaved, forced to work on Proximus's project: breaking into a human bunker. He is helped by Raka (Peter Macon), an orangutan who follows Caesar's true teachings, and by Mae (Freya Allan), a mysterious, silent human woman. It is a coming-of-age story, following Noa's journey from naive boy to heroic leader, exploring legacy, history, and the dangers of misinterpreting the past, with apes rendered in incredible detail. Noa has to decide which Caesar he will follow — the one Proximus preaches, or the one Raka remembers.
