Overview

One honest memo, and Jerry Maguire loses everything. He's a hotshot sports agent who has a sudden crisis of conscience, writes down what he actually believes about his business, and gets fired for it the next morning. All he's left with is one client and a lot of pride to swallow. Tom Cruise plays Jerry as a guy learning very late that winning without integrity feels pretty hollow, and Cuba Gooding Jr. is electric as Rod Tidwell, the athlete who sticks with him and keeps demanding to be shown the money. It's funny, it's romantic, and it's surprisingly tender about love and friendship and what success is supposed to feel like. Honestly, few nineties films hold up this well. You'll still be quoting it days later.
