Overview
Ford wanted to beat Ferrari, and to do it they needed two men who refused to play by anyone's rules. Carroll Shelby, a legendary car designer and former racer played by Matt Damon, is hired by Henry Ford II to build a machine that can win the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966. He turns to Ken Miles, a brilliant, stubborn British driver played by Christian Bale, and together they fight corporate interference, impossible deadlines, and each other to build something extraordinary. The racing sequences are thunderous, the friendship at the center is warm and prickly, and by the final laps at Le Mans you'll be holding your breath, whether or not you know a thing about racing.
