Overview

Friday Night Lights Season 4 is one of American television's great reinventions. Coach Taylor's banishment to East Dillon High, with its leaking stadium, its depleted budget, and its student population drawn from the parts of Dillon that the Panthers and their boosters have always ignored, is a premise that the show uses to examine class, race, and educational inequality. The new characters — most importantly Vince Howard — are introduced with care. The Lions' first season is the underdog story the show tells with complete honesty about why underdogs are underdogs.
