The Expanse Season 1

Overview

Humanity has colonized the solar system, and the peace is a fiction: Earth, Mars, and the Belters — people who live in the asteroid belt — are pulling apart. Based on James S.A. Corey's books, the season follows three people through that tension: Detective Miller (Thomas Jane), a Belter detective searching for a missing woman; James Holden (Steven Strait), an ice hauler's executive officer who stumbles onto a conspiracy; and Chrisjen Avasarala (Shohreh Aghdashloo), a UN politician trying to stop a war before it starts. Complex, slow-burn, and rewarding, it's sci-fi that trusts its audience to keep up. The season trusts its audience to keep up.
