Overview

Gru (Steve Carell) used to be a supervillain. Now he's a family man and an agent for the Anti-Villain League — which, as it turns out, is not a quieter life at all. Illumination Entertainment's fourth main Despicable Me film gives him a new nemesis: Maxime Le Mal (Will Ferrell), a French villain with a grudge against Gru, who threatens his family and his home alongside his girlfriend Valentina (Sofia Vergara). Gru has to protect everything he has built, and the Minions are back too, as chaotic and funny as ever. It's a family comedy about a former villain learning, again and again, that the hardest job isn't defeating a bad guy — it's keeping the people you love safe while the chaos erupts around you.
