Bad Boys Ride or Die
Overview
Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett have spent decades being the chaos in Miami. This time, Miami is coming for them. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are back as the detectives, picking up after Bad Boys for Life, and the formula gets flipped early: the two of them are framed for a crime they didn't commit, and suddenly the cops who never follow the rules are on the run, trying to clear their names while trouble closes in from every side. They're not alone out there — Mike's son Armando (Jacob Scipio) is in their corner, along with a new generation of Miami detectives, which gives the movie a passing-of-the-torch energy without ever sidelining the main act. Because the main act is still the point. Smith and Lawrence's chemistry has always been this series' real special effect: the arguing, the loyalty, the two-old-friends rhythm that no amount of gunfire can drown out. Around them, the action goes big and loud the way you'd want it to, with callbacks for longtime fans woven through the ride. It's the fourth outing with these two, and it knows exactly why you showed up: not for the plot mechanics, but to watch Lowrey and Burnett bicker their way through impossible trouble one more time.
