Peacemaker Season 2
Overview
Turns out the worst thing that can happen to Christopher Smith is finding a version of his life where he's happy. Season two throws John Cena's Peacemaker through a doorway in his dad's Quantum Unfolding Chamber into a parallel world where he's a celebrated hero, his brother is alive, and everything just works — and then it asks him to walk away from it. Meanwhile Rick Flag Sr. (Frank Grillo) has taken over ARGUS and rebuilt it into a machine with one main job: making Peacemaker pay for his son's death. James Gunn keeps the formula loud, filthy and weirdly tender. Eagly gets a nemesis of his own, Vigilante (Freddie Stroma) remains an agent of pure chaos, and the 11th Street Kids feel like a family one bad night away from falling apart. Jennifer Holland and Danielle Brooks land the season's real emotional punches. It also folds the show properly into the new DCU, Superman fallout and all, without losing the scrappy, big-hearted mess that made season one work.
