Overview

The trial of Joe Miller (Matthew Gravelle), Danny Latimer's killer, tears Broadchurch apart. The season follows the courtroom battle and what it does to a town that already knows too much: friendships fracture, loyalties split, and the truth becomes something people argue over instead of something they share. Tense, emotional, and compelling, it ends with Joe found not guilty — and then killed by a mysterious figure, leaving justice itself an open question. The verdict doesn't end anything; it just moves the wound somewhere new. The courtroom becomes the town's second crime scene: a place where truth is argued, doubted, and reshaped in front of everyone.
