The Boys Season 1
Overview
In this world, superheroes aren't heroes — they're corrupt, dangerous, and owned by a corporation. The Seven, the top team, are led by Homelander (Antony Starr), a terrifying sociopath who craves love and adoration but can't feel a real emotion, murders casually, and is obsessed with his 'mother,' the scientist who created him. Around him: Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott), cynical, alcoholic, trapped in her role; A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), a speedster addicted to Compound V, the drug behind the powers; The Deep (Chace Crawford), an Aquaman parody and sexual predator; Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell), a silent ninja; and Starlight (Erin Moriarty), the naive newcomer who discovers the dark truth fast. Against them stand The Boys, ordinary humans led by Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), a brutal, vengeance-driven ex-SAS soldier whose wife was supposedly killed by Homelander — with Hughie Campbell (Jack Quaid), who joined after A-Train killed his girlfriend; Mother's Milk (Laz Alonso), the strategist and moral compass; Frenchie (Tomer Capone), weapons expert and chemist; and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara), mute, super-strong, able to regenerate. It ends with Butcher learning his wife is alive — living with Homelander, raising their son Ryan.
