The Wolf of Wall Street
Overview
What if the guy selling you a fortune is selling you nothing at all — and having the time of his life doing it? Jordan Belfort starts as a trainee on Wall Street on the day of the 1987 crash, loses his job, and lands at a penny-stock firm on Long Island, where he discovers a rare gift: he can sell anything to anyone over the phone. Soon he founds Stratton Oakmont with his friend Donnie Azoff, hires a crew of hungry young brokers, and builds an empire out of fraud, swagger, and sheer noise. Leonardo DiCaprio plays Belfort at full throttle, and the money brings yachts, sports cars, private jets, and office parties that spiral out of control. His marriage falls apart, drugs take hold, and the FBI starts circling. Wild, funny, and queasy all at once.
