The Rings of Power

Overview

Thousands of years before Frodo ever left the Shire, Middle-earth was already in trouble, and almost nobody wanted to hear about it. Galadriel knows something dark is stirring. She can feel it. Her own people think the war is over and she should move on, but she won't, and her search pulls her toward a mysterious stranger named Halbrand and toward the elven smiths about to forge rings that will change everything. Morfydd Clark carries the show with real fire, and the friendship between Durin and Elrond is a lovely, stubborn highlight. Is it big? Yes. Sweeping landscapes, huge battles, old magic waking up. If you like fantasy that takes its time and goes for wonder, this one's for you.
