Overview
Two best friends get kidnapped into a fairy tale, and the school sorts them exactly wrong. Sophie (Sophia Anne Caruso) has spent her whole life preparing to be a princess - beautiful, ambitious, certain she's destined for glass slippers. Agatha (Sofia Wylie) is her opposite: cynical, gloomy, an outcast who'd fit right in among the witches. So naturally, when the pair are whisked away to the School for Good and Evil, where fairy-tale heroes and villains are trained, Sophie lands in the School for Evil and Agatha ends up in the School for Good. Neither girl accepts the verdict. Sophie insists there's been a mistake; Agatha just wants to go home. But the school has its own ideas, and as Sophie embraces the darkness she swears she doesn't have - with a serious push from Charlize Theron's deliciously villainous Lady Lesso - Agatha starts to look like the only one who actually understands what good means. It's big, colorful, CGI-drenched and cheerfully over the top, built on the question the whole place runs on: are people born good or evil, or does the label become the person? Silly, sparkly and perfect for a night in.
