Overview

So, how far would you go to win the neighborhood Christmas contest? Chris is about to find out. He cuts a deal with a cheeky little elf who promises the best display on the block, and at first it looks like a win. Then the lights start misbehaving, the decorations take on a life of their own, and the whole holiday starts sliding into chaos. Eddie Murphy is having a ball as the dad who just won't quit, and Tracee Ellis Ross keeps the whole thing warm and funny even when it gets properly silly. Put this on with the cocoa out and the lights low. It's loud, goofy, and sweet in that old-school Christmas way, and it remembers that the contest was never really the point. Family was.
