Overview

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 1 is the first season of The WB's supernatural drama. The first season follows Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar), a teenage girl who is the "Slayer" — a chosen one who is destined to fight vampires, demons, and other forces of darkness. She moves to Sunnydale, California, which is built on a "Hellmouth," a portal to other dimensions. She is helped by her "Scooby Gang" — her friends Willow (Alyson Hannigan) and Xander (Nicholas Brendon), and her Watcher, Giles (Anthony Head). The first season is a fun, witty, and entertaining monster-of-the-week show. The season ends with Buffy defeating the Master, a powerful vampire.
