Superman Lois Season 2
Overview
Season two starts with cracks in everything. Clark keeps getting hammered by visions — searing headaches, flashes of some other world bleeding into this one — and they turn out to be connected to Bizarro, who eventually smashes his way into Smallville looking less like a punchline and more like a tragedy. The season's real villain, though, is Ally Allston, a cult leader who preaches that two worlds should merge into one, and she's got Lois Lane's estranged sister Lucy marching in her ranks, which turns the whole apocalypse into a Lane family argument. The Department of Defense turns on Superman too: its new chief, Mitch Anderson, decides the Man of Steel answers to America or not at all, and that falling-out gets ugly fast. At home, Jordan's powers keep growing while Jonathan watches from the sideline and feels it, Lana and Kyle's marriage buckles under last season's affair, and John Henry Irons tries to build an ordinary life in the town where a version of his wife is still walking around. It's messier than season one and just as heartfelt — a superhero show that's really about two families holding each other together while the sky falls.
