Stranger Things Season 4
Overview
Stranger Things Season 4 is the darkest and most epic season of the series, set in 1986, eight months after the Battle of Starcourt. The group is separated: Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) has lost her powers and is being bullied at a new school in California with the Byers family and Will. Mike, Jonathan, and Argyle are also in California. In Hawkins, Dustin, Lucas, Max, Steve, Nancy, Robin, and newcomer Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn), the leader of the Hellfire Club, are being terrorized by a new villain: Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), a former human who was banished to the Upside Down and became its ruler. Vecna kills teenagers by cursing them with visions of their deepest traumas, then breaking their bones and crushing their eyes. Max (Sadie Sink) becomes Vecna's primary target, forcing the group to use Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" to save her. The season reveals Eleven's backstory at Hawkins Lab, the massacre of her fellow test subjects, and her connection to Vecna. The season ends with Vecna opening four massive gates to the Upside Down, invading Hawkins, and setting up the fifth and final season.
