Overview
Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver is a 2024 epic space opera film directed by Zack Snyder, the second part of a two-part story. The film continues the story immediately after the events of Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire. Kora (Sofia Boutella) and her band of warriors have returned to the peaceful farming moon of Veldt. They are preparing for the inevitable attack by the Motherworld, the oppressive empire that they have rebelled against. The film follows the warriors as they train the farmers to fight, as they confront their own pasts, and as they make their last stand against the empire. The film is a slow-burn, character-driven epic, focusing on the backstories of the warriors and the community they are trying to protect. The film ends with a massive battle, with Kora killing the villain, Atticus Noble (Ed Skrein), and saving Veldt. The film was a critical and commercial disappointment, earning less than its predecessor. However, Snyder has announced that an extended "director's cut" of both films will be released.
